Pest Guide

Pest control is a preventative measure that aims to control the risk of pests by identifying the root causes of the problem. This approach focuses on detecting and taking preventive measures against pest activities.

As Fital Fumigation and Pest Control employ advanced technologies, prioritizing health and environmental considerations over traditional pest control methods.

What We Offer in This Scope

Our Pest Prevention (Pest Control) practices are developed based on HACCP principles for both the interior and exterior areas of your homes and businesses. This service is reinforced with consultancy in storage, insulation, and hygiene under the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) framework.

Monitoring Pest Activity:

We regularly monitor pest activity at critical control points identified in your home or workplace.

Combatting Pest Activity:

Upon detection of pest activity during monitoring, we engage in effective combat using rodenticides and insecticides approved by the World Health Organization and authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

Keeping Record:

Our ongoing efforts are systematically recorded, and these records are stored in the Pest Control file prepared by Fital Fumigation and Pest Control.

Third-Party Liability Insurance:

To safeguard against potential damages resulting from our services, we provide you with Third-Party Liability Insurance, ensuring your protection.

FİTAL Fumigation and Pest Control possess the mandatory Authorization Certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This certificate grants us the right to use chemicals for fumigation and pest control operations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and reinforcing the reliability of our processes.

Pest Prevention Stages:

  1. Identification of the scope of the fight through a preliminary research trip
  2.  Establishment of the system
  3.  SRS Routine Control and Visit
  4.  SRS Follow-up Visit for the System
  5.  Rodent Control
  6.  Crawling Pest Control
  7.  Flying Pest Control

1-Preliminary Investigation

Through a preliminary research trip, the risk factors your business may encounter are identified. Our technical personnel conduct the research with the responsible staff to understand the operation, exchange information about technical and health safety, and procedures. If possible, the layout plan of the business is provided to our technical staff. The result of this investigation identifies the pests to be fought.

2- Establishment of the System

FITAL Fumigation and Pest Control technical team mounts plastic monitors at points where pest activity can be seen. These points are usually places where food is stored, external doors and surroundings, and warehouses. Each monitor is numbered and recorded on the plan and checklist. Any location changes made by our technician will be tracked on the monitor plan in this way.

3- SRS Routine Control and Visit

Special traps and observation materials will be placed in risk-carrying areas. During the installation of these materials, FITAL Pest Control technician notes storage, insulation, and hygiene deficiencies against the reproduction of pests. These deficiencies will be added to the report under the following headings:

  • Hygiene
  • Storage
  • Insulation
  • Infestation
  • Observation Points
  • Flying Pest Control Lists
  • Other Issues

Fital Fumigation and Pest Control will intervene as necessary when activity is observed and will schedule a visit appointment for process monitoring.

4-SRS Follow-up Visit

Fital Fumigation and Pest Control technician will check all monitors and inter-monitor areas by following the path described in the plan. They will do everything necessary to make all monitors accessible and record them when any activity is detected.

5- Rodent Control

Rodenticides: FITAL Fumigation and Pest Control uses rodenticides permitted by health and agriculture ministries. These rodenticides are added to places where pest activity is observed. If the activity is intense, additional monitors can be added.

Traps: Over time, rodent species can develop a habit known as “bait shyness,” meaning they can avoid the bait you use. In such cases and in public locations, different control methods must be used. One of the most important traps used in these cases is adhesive traps. This type of trap consists of adhesive applied to a certain surface. These traps, which need to be constantly monitored, facilitate the capture of rodents.

Insulation: In environments with a high number of rodents, invasion from the outside may occur. The use of traps and rodenticides may not be sufficient at this point. In such cases, potential rodent entry points must be closed. The most commonly used entry points for rodents are cable entries and door surroundings. The technician notes possible entry points and offers necessary preventive recommendations to the customer. If requested by the customer, insulation processes are also performed by us.

6- Crawling Pest Control

Residual Insecticides

Residual insecticides in our country are used after dilution in water. These types of insecticides are directly applied to surfaces where pests are actively present. They are usually applied under units such as ovens and refrigerators found in the kitchen.

Field methods may vary depending on the type of pests and infestation. The effectiveness duration of residual insecticide application depends on factors such as light, humidity, and temperature in the environment. The environment must be cleared of food residues before application.

Gel Insecticides

The most common use of gel insecticides is for cockroach control. Gel application is made directly to possible places where cockroaches can nest. The gel substance used does not react with other substances, and there are no prerequisites to be met before use.

7- Flying Pest Control

Control of flying pests should be initiated with larval combat in their breeding areas. ULV insecticides are used in small quantities and are highly effective against flying pests indoors. These types of insecticides are applied with electric or motorized devices. The relevant area must be completely cleaned before application, all openings such as doors and windows must be closed, and no one should be present inside. ULV insecticides disperse in the air in small particles. Since these insecticides are heavier than air, they settle to the ground within about an hour. Insecticides in contact with the ground break instantly and lose their effect. The type of insecticide to be used should be recommended by the technician.
